The premise behind this Systematic, Step-by-Step Approach to Learning Social Argentine Tango stems from my successful teaching experience at the University level where I notice that:
a) practicing at least 1 hour per week outside of class helps to increase self esteem and confidence in the social dancer
b) students who participate actively in approximately 3 hours of class per week over 16 weeks have a range of success on the social dance floor
c) those students who chose to repeat the course not only continued to improve their skills as dancers but then automatically became strong dance advocates in the learning process of the others who were just starting
d) the more diverse the classroom is, a mix of those who have taken the course once or twice or even four times, the more it reflected the overall reality of how it is in the community of tango, with people of all ages, sizes, shapes, experiences, dancing with each other, not because of their “level” but because they love to dance.
So I invite you to embrace this opportunity to give your social dancing a chance and become a dancer not just a student.
Daniela is available for private classes, workshops, lectures, and weddings. Daniela’s fees for private and semi-private sessions can be found here.
Daniela welcomes cash, checks, Visa or Mastercard.
Testimonials
“I am so impressed with Daniela’s follower’s workshop. For the first time, I finally got that following is all about me being me, rather than attempting to psych out what my partner is wanting me to do… And Daniela’s use of imagery helped me overcome this belief that I need utterly focus on what my partner is up to. By using Daniela’s techniques to get into my own body, I realize my own power, relax into my power and THAT makes it fun and easy for my partner to lead me. Now I look forward to dancing tango, because I experience my confidence instead of fear.”
– Priya, Flagstaff
“Daniela’s Intensives leave you able to execute patterns not trying to remember them… my dancing improves each time I take them.”
– Candace, Sedona
“Had I started with any other teacher but you, I probably wouldn’t have stayed with it, so I am thankful for you. You provide a wonderful learning experience…”
– Irene, Phoenix
“I had 9 years of Argentine tango lessons and nothing made sense to me, I stayed in the Tango community only because I loved the people. Until my partner and I had private lessons with Daniela Borgialli I finally understood my part as a follower in this gorgeous, dramatic and passionate dance. BRAVO Daniela! Now I can say Viva El Tango!”
– Josie, Chandler
“I have taken many classes from Daniela and loved each and every one of them, she never gave up on me (even though I have two left feet)… she was always an inspiration… I especially loved the class where we delved into the music itself… Daniela has a gift and a passion to share Tango from the Soul…”
– Wes, Phoenix
“… both the classes and the intensives with Daniela are valuable investments…and more importantly, it’s a great satisfaction receiving compliments on the dance floor…Thank You…Daniela Borgialli!”
– Zoltan, Glendale
“Daniela Borgialli is a fabulous teacher that truly understands people! Her classes are fun and she loves to help people learn! Not only is Daniela is terrific Argentine Tango instructor that teaches you from the foundation and up but Daniela has tremendous patience, is creative and adaptable to everyone’s needs to learn how to dance.”
– Grant , Phoenix
“I learned about the “connection” in dancing, that intimate moment between partners as a priority over just “steps”. Your classes always seemed to come from the heart and they are fun too.”
– James, Black Canyon City
“It was thrilling to learn such passionate steps with ease, especially when the instructor is filled with passion and able to teach with ease.”
– Megan, Litchfield Park
“The mark of a great instructor is the ability to pick out and improve small details that make great changes in performance. That’s Daniela.”
– Gary, Flagstaff
“Daniela brings an unrivaled sense of enthusiasm to her classes and takes a very proactive and constructive approach to teaching. She makes a consistent effort to improve her students by providing experienced advice and making sure they don’t develop bad habits. Not to mention, she is a wonderful person to be around that makes learning tango a very enjoyable experience.”
– Chris, Miami
“Daniela’s passion for tango is truly impressive as is her personal connection to the dance and professional background. Yet, what is most striking is how she genuinely cares about the development of each individual dancer.”
– Baron and Gwen, Peoria
“Daniela’s teaching style does not dictate what to do, but rather guides the learner to truly discover the movement and feeling of Argentine Tango for his/herself. Daniela appreciation for her students as individuals as well as dancers provides for personal growth beyond the confines tango itself.”
– Ali, Eden Praire
“Having had the benefit of Daniela’s teaching and the privilege of dancing with many of Daniela’s students- I would like to encourage everyone to try a class or private lesson with her. She is talented and knowledgeable, warm and engaging, and her students are perfect examples of her teaching skills. In 6 years of tango I have taken lessons from many teachers- Daniela is in my top favorites of my list.”
– Sharon, Massachusetts
“Daniela knows how people learn and, more specifically, how people learn to dance. Her gentleness and joy make her a great listener, observer and motivator. Her amazing combination of knowledge and heart makes me more comfortable with my body and with learning new ways of moving.”
– Suzy, Flagstaff
“There is no way to tone down my exuberance or enthusiasm that I have for Daniela as a person and a professional dance instructor. She is awesome. Fortunately for me, I began my Argentine Tango dance experience with Daniela and if I could, I would have everyone begin this dancing experience with her. She holds a Masters in dance and continues to perfect her dancing skills and innovative dancing methods. She is a perfectionist to the point you will learn and enjoy and be able to execute and experience the joy of dance. I enourage everyone to experience Daniela.”
– Lainie, Scottsdale
